Who I Am
I’m Alex Rivera — pro pickleball player, strategist, and writer. My game is built on aggressive dinking: control the kitchen, force errors, then detonate with pace when the opening appears. It sounds simple. It takes years to execute under pressure.
Off the court I think a lot about interfaces — how we design tools that disappear and leave only the intent of the user. Pickleball is the same: the best point ends before your opponent realises the rally was already over.

The Timeline
Discovery
Discovered pickleball through a family gathering — immediately drawn to its reactive, energetic nature. Played every day that summer.
Going Systematic
Shifted from instinct to strategy. Intensive focus on positioning, soft-game refinement, and match analysis. First regional title followed six months later.
Going Pro
Earned PPA Tour card. Ranked #4 nationally. The philosophy crystallised: patience creates opportunity, power finishes it.
